The Collar Counties Emergency Medical Services Industry Partnership
Uniting Emergency
Medical Services Employers
The Collar Counties Emergency Medical Services Industry Partnership (CCEMS IP) harnesses the collective strength of employers who pull from a common labor pool to employ workers in the Emergency Medical Services career pathway (Emergency Medical Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Pre-Hospital Registered Nurses) in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties. Employers include hospitals, transport companies, event medical and emergency services companies, firehouses, and colleges and universities that offer emergency medical services.
Connect, Collaborate, and Learn.
CCEMSIP meets virtually every other month. Each meeting focuses on a topic EMS employers have prioritized. EMS employers’ priorities include:
Community Awareness & Respect
Advocacy About Regulation Changes to Improve the Funding Model
Retaining and upskilling the EMS workforce
Beyond the Meetings
The CCEMS IP program goes beyond insightful discussions. We’re committed to building a stronger EMS workforce by offering training funds for new and established EMS professionals.
Prioritizing Diversity
These training funds are especially geared towards individuals from underrepresented communities, creating a more inclusive and well-rounded EMS landscape. We want to empower individuals to achieve their career goals, regardless of background, by providing financial support for their pre-employment or on-the-job training.
This program offers a double benefit: enhancing your team’s skills while diversifying the talent pool within EMS.
Expanding Opportunities:
Initiatives of the CCEMS Industry Partnership for Career Awareness and Development
The CCEMS IP responds to EMS employers’ requests for support to increase career awareness among young people and community members like Veterans. We incorporate career awareness of EMS careers in work with school-age youth. The CCEMS IP also investigates the feasibility of using the Registered Apprenticeship model as a tool for recruitment and retention. EMS employers are encouraged to participate in the process of aligning secondary and post-secondary curricula for EMS programs at regional CTC and community colleges.
